Mossy Waterfall - New Zealand

Purakaunui falls - Catlins :

Purakaunui waterfalls - Catlins Southland - New Zealand. A rainy day not surprised here, perfect for representing how wild, green and wet is this part of the country... A peaceful place with the sound of the water and birds around.

The Fairy Forest :

I was walking into the bush in New Zealand in order to see a local famous waterfall. But it was impossible to get a good view on it from the path, so I decided to climb over the falls. I could discover a small river flowing between stones from the darkness of the forest to a big gap in the valley. The canopy was so dense, only some sunlights could go through it. The light was surrealistic, magical, maybe we could see some fairies or ondines playing around...

Mossy waterfall :

Lost in the jungle of the West Coast in New Zealand, all the Nature around me was a patchwork of emerald green, white waterfalls and dark red tannin rivers.

Zen water stream :

When I came back from a photo session all around a big waterfall, I discovered this little water source close to the path. In comparison with the noisy river monster earlier, this stream was so quiet and discreet. So I could not resist to take some photos. Highlighting this stream as a "zen decor" ^^...

Whangarei Falls :

A rainy and cloudy day as often in the Northland^^. I was walking along the river path with my camera, when I saw this landscape between drops. The light was brighten from the waterfall, a total opposition with the darkness of the native bush all around. Thanks to a big tree I could avoid the rain to capture this moment.

The mountain river

The Rob Roy track, a hike into a dramatic alpine landscape. Along the path we could see rock cliffs, debris flows and the beautiful river flowing down from the glacier. Winter has begun, the Nature was sleepy, cold and peaceful.
